Accessibility Statement
The California Disaster Rebuilding Portal is intended to help disaster-affected Californians find a clearer path to rebuilding and mortgage support. Home Rebuild Network is committed to making the Portal usable by people with disabilities and to providing reasonable access to Portal information and services.
Our accessibility target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility and work to identify, prevent, and correct barriers as the Portal changes.
Measures we take
Our accessibility work may include:
- using headings, labels, instructions, and page structure that support screen-reader navigation;
- supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
- providing text alternatives for meaningful images and captions or transcripts for multimedia when appropriate;
- maintaining sufficient color contrast and avoiding reliance on color alone;
- designing forms with clear labels, error identification, and instructions;
- testing with automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and assistive technologies; and
- reviewing accessibility when we add or materially change content and functionality.
Request help or report a barrier
If you have difficulty using the Portal, need information in another format, or encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible and work with you to provide the information or service through an accessible method.

Third-party content

Ongoing improvements
